Our 4th of July BBQ had a great turn out. About 100 neighborhood friends came to join in the festivities. Carolynne and Teresa planned the event which included our own neighborhood band along with other musicians providing wonderful music throughout the day. The weather was perfect for a relaxing day visiting with friends and neighbors while enjoying the pool, music, food. Mike and Larry BBQ’d chicken and hamburgers for all to enjoy and we actually ran short on food! Thanks to all!
The club has hosted two wonderful events so far in 2018. In February a delicious spaghetti dinner was served while guests were serenaded by Dean Martin. Unfortunately, we neglected to get pictures of the event, but it was a beautiful setting with all the lights. Our annual Easter Egg hunt and brunch was held in March with many happy kids searching the park to find hidden treasures (candy). Thanks to all who helped to make these events so successful and also to those who came to enjoy them. We are always looking for new ideas and volunteers so please feel free to contact us on this website or through the office with your suggestions.
A delicious Thanksgiving dinner was served to around 100 of our community residents. A special thank you to the ladies pictured in the kitchen who made it all happen. Communication of events and notices remain one of the hardest challenges we face here in Shorecrest. In 2017 a new and improved web-page was introduced which includes a calendar of events that highlight upcoming events and a post event picture gallery. You can also use this web-page to email our office or Board of Directors with any questions or concerns. Check us out at www.shorecrestbeachclub.org
In 2017 Teresa Holcomb and the Saints Pantry Food Bank provided help to our neighbors in need through our Saturday food bank. In addition, a summer food program was set up that provided lunch to kids in need of a healthy meal. Last summer many lunches were served by our pool staff. In the fall a back-pack program supplied several kids in our neighborhood with school supplies and in December many wonderful Christmas gifts were donated. These are the kind of things that make us proud to be a part of the Shorecrest community. Thank you to those who helped make these programs such a success.
