PRESIDENTS REPORT

Communication of events and notices remains one of the hardest challenges we face here in Shorecrest. In addition to the reader board we have started to use email, but we don’t have all our member’s email addresses and some that we do have are not correct. If you’d like to receive information about your community, please stop by the office or send your email information via the website. We encourage our members to regularly visit our Shorecrest’s website for club information, announcement of events and post event pictures. You can also use this site to email the office or Board of Directors with any questions or concerns. Visit us at www.shorecrestbeachclub.org

Be aware that the speed limit when entering our Shorecrest community (by the entrance sign and reader board) has changed to 25 mph. Previously the 25 mph residential zone did not start until the top of the hill at Parkway, but due to community safety concerns this has been changed to help provide a safer environment for our residents.

This past year the BOD’s reviewed and updated Shorecrest’s Rules and Regulations (R&R’s). The updated R&R’s are available at the office and on our website. Please take the time to read and understand these R&R’s as they play an important part in creating a better, safer place to live. As a land owner in our community, it is your responsibility to be in compliance with these R&R’s

It’s been good to see new growth in our community and with that continued improvement is always our goal. This past year ambient lighting was added to the clubhouse and the pool area was enhanced with new lights, awnings, tables and umbrellas as well as needed pool maintenance. Thanks to our dedicated, reliable staff who go above and beyond to keep things running smoothly and also to our volunteer Board members who willingly dedicate their time and expertise. This last year we were able to help several members within our community. We understand that sometimes homeowner’s tasks can seem overwhelming, especially for the elderly or those with health issues. If you are in a situation where you need help, please call the office and let us know. We may be able to help.

I encourage members to attend the monthly meetings (10 AM; 2nd Saturday of every month). It’s a great way to get to know your neighbors, get involved, offer help, and show your support. I look forward to another great year for our Shorecrest residents!

TREASURER’s REPORT

Shorecrest Beach Club revenue benefited greatly this year due to an increase in market sales and lien recoveries. As shown on our balance sheet, to date this year we have been able to increase our savings and our special emergency fund. Based on the increased revenue and after reduction of unneeded expenses, the budget submitted for 2019/20 approval does not require an increase in our membership dues. As mentioned last year, our fixed expenses and wages continue to rise so our BOD’s and employees have been challenged to find ways to continue to keep our dues reasonable, yet provide the services required to maintain our clubhouse, parks and other expenses.

ACTIVIES REPORT

The club sponsored several fun and well attended events in 2018! It was fun to see friends and neighbors gather together to enjoy each other and the benefits our neighborhood has to offer. Shorecrest has a wonderful group of talented volunteers who help organize these events and new volunteers are always welcome. Last year we introduced BINGO to our line of events and it is really fun! If anyone has any other ideas or would like to help or host an event, please contact Carolynne in the office or Marcia Jacobson via email This email address is being protected from spambots.
